ISS Expedition 50 crew perpares for 3 resupply missions

The Expedition 50 crew members aboard the International Space Station (ISS) will have a busy time ahead as they plan for the arrival of 3 different cargo space before the end of March.

SpaceX will launch the Dragon spacecraft on 18 February atop the Falcon 9 rocket, 4 days later than previously planned. Orbital ATK is planning to launch its Cygnus spacecraft on 19 March. Both spacecraft will be captured and docked using the Canadarm2 robotic arm. The Dragon will dock to the Harmony module, while the Cygnus will be attached to the Unity module.

Russia meanwhile is preparing a Progress 66P craft for launch on February 22 from Kazakhstan. The Progress will dock automatically to the Pirs Docking Compartment.
